'Very few radio shows had the cultural impact that John Peel’s late evening radio show did. Teenagers and students across the country would hide themselves in their bedrooms and bedsits, attempting to do their homework whilst intermittently recording choice songs that John introduced to a willing, open audience who lusted for new, alternative tunes to listen to and to be influenced by.' - Pete McKee

How We Listened to John Peel was originally shown at the 2012 Great Moments in Popular Music exhibition and has since been taken from the McKee archive.

This painting measures 65cm x 65cm.
