Independently Minded
Description
This image is from a series of four created for Pete’s 2014 Thud, Crackle, Pop exhibition. Each one of these paintings explores a specific genre of music through the portrayal of a record store. When deciding on a list of records, Pete consulted with Radio 6 DJ Steve Lamacq. Pete also painted in a few of his own personal favourites such as Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! by Devo and Funeral by Arcade Fire.
Originally created for the 2014 Thud, Crackle, Pop Exhibition.
