Louise
Description
Louise from the 'Wired for Sound' Series
This print is from a series of four works, all of which share titles with songs named after women. Louise is named after the 1984 single by the synth-pop band the Human League. This work was created leading up to Pete’s 2021 Thud, Crackle, Pop online exhibition which celebrates vinyl and reflects the artist’s love of music and records.
A Note from the Artist
In today’s world music is broken down into digital waves, propelled into the atmosphere and zapped into mini wireless earplugs, bunged into our ears so we can run around like headless chickens in our increasingly busy lives. Let’s take time to sit back, wrap ourselves in a blanket of analog sound and embrace the crackles, pops and pauses between the noise. - Pete McKee
