This season’s book has just arrived. Time to gather round and work out how many weeks will it cost for a new coffee table and a pair of jeans that’ll wear out at the knees well before last payment’s due, but that doesn’t matter ’cos I’m still paying for the wardrobe – now without a door – but, hey, it’s only £3.75 a week.
Our house was called “On the Never Neverland”. The TV, hoover and fridge were from Wigfalls, the G Plan sideboard and dining table and my winter coat were from Dobson’s on Darnall, and I think we’re still paying for the Axminster carpet. Mind you, the dressing table was from me nan’s – at least that was free.
